Real Change in Ruston is a holistic approach to real community development. The City of Ruston in partnership with the Zion Traveler Community Development Corporation has developed a program to create real change for families in an often overlooked part of our community.
Located blocks from downtown Ruston in the East End Community - Real Change in Ruston, in partnership with the Ruston Housing Authority, will build twenty (20) homes for community residents with an objective of creating homeownership opportunities for first-time home buyers who complete programs with the Zion Traveler CDC.
Understanding the issues around homeownership, the Zion Traveler CDC will partner with local businesses and organizations to provide the services necessary to prepare individuals for, not only homeownership, but in all areas needed to improve lifestyles and opportunities for community residents, thereby, creating generational change.
