Section 8 Housing

Ruston participates in the Federal government Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8). This program assists qualifying very-low income families, elderly, and disabled individuals in renting decent, safe, and sanitary housing from the private market. Tenants are not limited to subsidized housing projects. Tenants are able to lease privately owned housing which meets program requirements, including single-family houses, townhouses, or apartments.
