Annual Halloween Downtown

Update: Due to the inclement weather, all Halloween events have been canceled.

The City of Ruston hopes that all of our kids have a safe and happy Halloween.  Begin the fun at the Annual Halloween Downtown on Friday, October 30, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm.  Trick or Treating will begin at City Hall and end at Railroad Park.  Be sure to look for the orange pumpkin poster in participating merchants’ windows or pick up a walking map from City Hall.

Events in Railroad Park families can enjoy:

  • Bring your favorite four-legged friend and enter them for a chance to win The Best Pet Costume Contest.  Judging begins at 5:30.
  • Bring your carved pumpkins to the Ruston Civic C by 4:00 PM for a Carved Pumpkin Contest. Winners will be announced at 5:30 PM.  Categories are for ages 6 to adult.
  • Street Performers
  • Fun experiments sponsored by LA Tech’s Physics and Science Departments.
  • Idea Place booth

Please be aware of construction activities taking place downtown as part of the Downtown Revitalization project.  We ask that you exercise caution when approaching marked areas, and observe and obey all caution signs.

For more information, please contact Judy Burt at 318-251-8671 or mainstreet@ruston.org.
