First Fridays - March 19th

After a two month hiatus, First Fridays will resume on March 19th with dinner and movie hosted by the Junior Auxiliary of Ruston and all activities will be FREE!  Beginning at 4:30 p.m. Railroad Park will be filled with booth presentations and activities. Also, a range of stage acts by children of our community and local organizations will be set in motion at approximately 5 p.m.  In addition to the activities, the winner of a writing contest will be announced, door prizes will be given away, and a book drive will be happening.  If you have any books that are not being used, bring it to Railroad Park on the evening of March 19th and they will be distributed back into other parts of the community for others to enjoy!  Then at dusk grab a seat and get comfortable to watch one of America’s favorite classic movies, which just might involve a yellow brick road.  While you are enjoying the movie, hamburger and hotdog dinner plates will be available for $6 as a part of the fundraiser.  Robyn Brown, Projects Chair states, “This is an event that brings the community together and really connects families!”  While you are in the park, pamphlets will be given out that will list activities that will be happening throughout the year.
